Adjustable Kapok Pillows

Our range of adjustable, wild harvested kapok pillows. Every pillow has a hidden zipper, so you can add or remove kapok, and each size pairs with a matching cotton sateen cover, sold separately.

What makes a MAREA kapok pillow different

The fill is 100% kapok, with no shredded foam, latex or polyester blended in. Kapok is a plant fiber gathered from the seed pods of ceiba trees; each fiber is a hollow tube that is mostly air (about 77 percent, per a 2021 review). Air moves between the fibers, so the fill doesn't hold heat against your head the way a solid block of foam can. The shell is organic cotton sateen.

Every pillow ships with adjustable fill. Unzip it, remove a handful at a time, and stop when the loft feels right to you. Keep what you remove to add back later, or add a bag of wild harvested kapok refill whenever you want more loft.

Which size to choose

The Wild Harvested Kapok Pillow comes in Standard (20 x 26 inches), Queen (20 x 30) and King (20 x 36). Most sleepers on a queen bed choose the Queen, and a king bed looks best with two Kings. Side sleepers who want a pillow to hug, or support between the knees, should look at the Wild Harvested Kapok Body Pillow at 20 x 54 inches. Not sure how high your pillow should sit? Our loft guide walks through it by sleep position.
