Most pillows have a simple life: they go flat, and they go in the trash. A refillable kapok pillow works differently. When it loses height, you fluff it, top it off and keep sleeping on it.

Why most pillows wear out
A fixed pillow can't be adjusted. Once polyester mats down or a foam block softens, the height you bought is gone, and the only fix is a new pillow. That's why you see advice to replace pillows every year or two.
Why a kapok pillow is different
MAREA has a hidden zipper, so the fill is always within reach. If the pillow feels lower than it used to, redistribute the kapok first. If you still want more height, add fresh kapok in small handfuls from a 3 lb refill bag. Save any fill you remove so you can reverse an adjustment anytime.
A quick condition check
Every so often, look over the shell, seams and zipper, and give the pillow a sniff and a squeeze. If it's clean, dry and comfortable, keep going. If you notice damage, dampness or a smell that doesn't air out, contact us and we'll help you figure out the next step.
Care that keeps it going
Use the washable zip on cover, wash your pillowcase weekly and keep the filled pillow dry. Reassess your loft if you change mattresses or sleep positions. Read the care instructions. See the refill guide.
