The MAREA Kapok Travel Pillow brings adjustable, plant based comfort to a compact 12 x 16 inch size, handcrafted in the USA and filled with pure kapok, a silky fiber from the seed pods of the ceiba tree. It fits in a carry on, a car seat, or a crowded guest bed, and unlike the neck pillows sold in airports, it is a real pillow you can actually sleep on.

Adjustable fill: the zipper goes where you go

The same zippered fill access as our full size pillows, scaled down. Open the zipper and remove kapok to pack it smaller and softer, or keep it full for maximum loft. Hotel pillow too flat? Yours is in your bag, set exactly the way you like it. When you get home, top it back up and it returns to full loft, trip after trip.

Care

Spot clean the pillow and air it in the sun to refresh the loft. Use a washable cover or small pillowcase for daily protection.

Common questions

Is it just for travel? No. It also works as a kids pillow, a lumbar cushion, and a camping pillow.

Is it organic? The kapok fill is wild harvested, never farmed, so there is nothing to certify. The optional MAREA cover is GOTS certified organic cotton sateen.

Can it compress for packing? Yes. Remove some fill through the zipper to pack it down, then refill at your destination or at home.
